K-POP Dominates Manila!

The year 2010 started off w/ a bang! K-POP songs nowadays can be heard in the  radio air waves and more Filipinos are getting “gaga” over famous K-POP Artists in ASIA like Super Junior, TVXQ, Big Bang, F.T. Island, U-Kiss, SHINee, 2PM, 2NE1, Wonder Girls, 4Minute, Girls Generation and many more. I, personally is totally addicted to K-POP! Just this February, 4Minute and Nickhun of 2PM came over here to Manila. And recently, F.T. Island went here to Philippines and held a very successfull, fan-filled concert at the PICC Plenary Hall, Manila. K-Pop stars are really enjoying their visit here because of the very warm welcome they are receiving from the Filipinos especially their fans. And by the end of March, the group U-KISS will have a mall tour in Manila and will be coming back here again for a major concert on June. Super Junior also will held their last concert tour here in Manila on April 10, 2010 at the Araneta. And news are spreading in the net that more K-POP stars will come here in Manila, like Wonder Girls, 2ne1 and Big Bang this year or the next year to come.  I just can’t wait for that! I wish to see BIG BANG here and 2ne1 too! More support and love to our K-POP idols!

K-POP Stars to come to Manila, Philippines only by “Public Demand”

Filipino K-Pop Fans will get a chance to meet their fave & fab K-POP Stars only if they “demand” it.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Philippines-Republic of Korea Diplomatic Relations, the Korean embassy is holding a cultural festival November this year. The festival will also cap year 2009 as the “Philippines-Republic of Korea Friendship Year,” as stated by Proclamation No. 14298 signed by Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo last May 2008.

Kiejoo Kim, Counselor for the Korean Embassy in the Philippines, said his Embassy is planning to bring Korean performers to the country.

Kim was asked  if the Korean Embassy is planning to include among the cultural performers the Korean pop (K-pop) stars currently making waves in the Philippine music scene today and He answered, “I’m not in a position to guarantee who we can bring to the RP,” Kim answered. “We will try our very utmost to bring our well-renowned Korean stars so that we can really enjoy together with the Filipino people.”

And He quickly added that the plan can push through easily if Pinoys loudly voice out their demand, using surveys, blogs, signature drives, and other platforms. He said,  “I think if there is a certain, a great number of audience, I think that should be a very convincing rationale that we really have to bring them here”.

So what are we waiting for? Calling all FILIPINO K-POP FANS let our voice be heard! Let us make a petition or signature drives so that we can bring our fave K-POP stars here in Manila, Philippines! “Ano pang hinihintay natin? simulan na natin ngaun!! If you have noticed, KOREAN WAVE is in the air!! Korean songs from Wonder Girls, 2NE1, Big Bang, TVXQ and Super Junior are repeatedly played in different radio stations and shown in special episodes of t.v shows in GMA and ABS-CBN. And just recently, Kim Bum of Boys Over Flowers came to Manila, Philippines and guested on different shows of ABS-CBN and even shoot a commercial of RC COLA drink w/ Maja Salvador. So it’s really possible for Korean Pop Stars like 2NE1, Big Bang or Super Junior to come here in Manila and held a concert.

P.S.  If you guys are interested in this article, please comment! Thanks!
